MEET OUR STAFF

I’m Amanda, joint-founder of Maine Wicked Goods. I found my way into antiques through my mother’s love for them (especially glass). I was the Maine Folklorist  and started the Traditional Arts Program at the Maine Arts Commission in the 80s. I’m a Goucher College graduate in Historic Preservation with a Master’s Degree in History Museum Studies and a Phd abd  in Folklore and Folklife from the University of Pennsylvania. I love antiques because each piece is art and every piece tells a story. Our shop is a thriving community and our wares change from week to week. The best part of my job is talking with you, so please come in and introduce yourself. We love to support local artisans too!

I’m Nick, joint-founder of Maine Wicked Goods. Thanks to my grandparents who were collectors, I’ve lived around antiques all my life. I love the excitement of  auctions and finding just the right pieces for our shop—especially furniture! I’m a Bates graduate in psychology and English and Maine has been my home since I moved from Vermont at 16—I’m almost a native! I’m a big baseball fan, appreciating the history and culture of America’s “Beautiful Game”.  I enjoy meeting people and hearing their stories, so working in our shop is truly a labor of love. Come on in and let us help you find that special piece. We have something for every price range.

I’m Patti,  a team member of Maine Wicked Goods. You’ll find me at the register a few days a week. A Portland native and a mother of three grown children (and one adorable grandchild), I love to shop and travel, especially to Germany to visit family, and any other place someone asks me to go! I’d love to have you visit with me at the shop for browsing and conversation.

I’m Cathy, a team member of Maine Wicked Goods. You’ll find me at the register several days a week. A Maine native and mother of two grown children, I love to fix, restore, and repurpose things, keep busy, and spend time at my camp up north. I also love to create displays at the shop and often you’ll find me moving things around to highlight new products. I’m training my granddaughter Bailey to love the shop as much as I do!

I’m Steve, a team member of Maine Wicked Goods. I’m a jack of all trades when it comes to art and architecture. I frame, design, repair, and evaluate art, and I love to share my knowledge. Educated at RISDE in film studies, I lived in DC for many years. I’m glad to be back in Maine. When you enter the shop you’ll hear my playlist, lots of jazz and Brazilian tempos. In my spare time, you’ll find me attending Broadway plays with my family. One little known fact? I’m a night owl.

I’m Katrina, a team member of Maine Wicked Goods. You’ll find me at the register from April to October; after that I become a snowbird. I love to bake, play golf, and travel. In fact, I lived in Italy for three years and the same amount of time in Germany, so I’m ready to greet you in both languages! I’m a mother of a grown son and two grandchildren and when I’m in Maine you’ll find me visiting with them often. Come by and introduce yourself!

I’m Lisa, Nick and Amanda’s researcher, organizer, occasional clerk,  and overall right-hand gal (really I’m left-handed). I’m not in the shop very often, but when I am I love to don my apron and greet whoever comes through the door. I’m a Vermont native but Maine and the ocean have my heart. I’m a retired academic librarian and have spent most of my life immersing myself in books, even writing them!  In my new role I get to learn about antiques and explore my new community. I love Maine!

This is Phineas (aka Finn), Amanda and Nick’s new puppy and shop dog in training. He was born cute and he’s trying very hard not to let it go to his head. Still, modesty has its limits…
